Hi, I'm so happy knowing i could help 😊 it's totally understandable that it can take time and not be an easy task 💯 especially since the majority of the cyber security industry is focused on chasing and detecting bad stuff instead of focusing on allow-listing strategies, so it can be a big change in organizations. You're always welcome to ask for features and send me feedbacks. What you noticed was sorta intentional because I assumed users would want to have only 1 instance of those special policies deployed at a time, whether it's audit mode or enforced mode, but i agree with you that it needs to change for the sake of consistency with the rest of the generated policies in that page. I'll make this change in the next version of AppControl Manager. |

I am prepping to deploy across my network and noticed that when creating specifically the [Create RIMM Blocking Policy], [Downloads Defense Measures Policy], and [Dangerous Script Hosts Blocking Policy] policies, that when I click "Create", they do not create new Policy ID and Base Policy IDs like the ones above on the same "Create Policy" page.
I am not sure if this is intentional or not, but I wouldn't think so...as I want to create a separate AUDIT policy, to be able to run these side-by-side to allow my workstations to remain hardened, but when I generate a new one, I assumed it created new Policy and Base Policy IDs, then ran into some issues until I discovered it. I should have verified obviously, and have used PowerShell to generate new IDs in the meantime (perhaps we could get a button to generate within the app?), but I think it would be helpful if this could be updated so that others who want separate policies don't run into this issue. Hard to ask for more, when you have already provided so much.
Also, this is an invaluable tool...I am forever grateful for what you created...I have been asked to do the impossible and have been working 30-35 hour work days for the last couple weeks to ensure this rollout goes successful, and it was worth it taking the time to learn about what all the AppControl Manger can offer. It has allowed me to do the impossible LOL.
