READ CAREFULLY AND DELETE THIS TEXT BEFORE CREATING NEW ISSUE

Go through the troubleshooting guide in the readme first.

Are you using cava from a package repository, like AUR?

from winget, but

If so, clone the master branch from here, build and run. Is your issue already resolved?

I built it from source with vs and the .sln and it's still broken.

Don't know how to clone or compile source code? Learn before posting issues here.

ALWAYS TRY TO BUILD AND RUN FROM THE SOURCE BEFORE POSTING ISSUES

If the issue is resolved when building from source, do not post issues here.

If the issue is still not resolved you can proceed with the bug report.

Make sure the bug report contains the following:

Describe the bug

Whenever I try and run cava from either the exe in whatever folder, even with cava -p pointing to the config file, I always receive:
Failed to open: Speakers (Realtek(R) Audio)

and then it just sits there in the terminal cava does not launch.

I can get cava to work if I run the exe or set it to run as administrator, though.

A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

This is a fresh install for me, even with no configuration it occurs.

Expected behavior

I mean it's supposed to work right, In the readme it says

"Should capture the audio from the default output device automatically. No config needed."
