Sync signal for playstation 2

Hello, wondering if anyone has experience using a Shinobi scaler for a playstation 2 -- to my knowledge, there is no cable solution that provides a sync signal (for RGBs). Want to know before ordering boards + assembling. Thank you!

I've been looking into using this board as well and from what I've seen you have to extract the sync from the composite or the Luna line output using a sync stripper.

I believe this is how this project https://github.com/jeffqchen/PS2VGA manages to connect the PS2 to the GBS using the VGA input.
