I was looking at the README from the perspective of a first-time AI-agent builder who wants to see the first useful trace quickly. The current README has the core pieces, but the fastest successful path is lower than the feature/value explanation, so the first screen asks readers to believe the positioning before they have a concrete run path.
One small rewrite I would test is moving a compact quickstart block directly under the one-line product description:
That keeps the strong observability/debugging message, but gives a technical reader an immediate "I can try this now" path before the longer feature table.
Disclosure: I am not affiliated with TraceRoot. I run an AI-assisted README Rewrite Pack for USD 15 here: https://gptbot2026.github.io/readme-rewrite-pack/open-source-readme-rewrite.html. This note is a value-first preview, and if this kind of post is not useful for this discussion board I will not continue posting here.
