It would be good to have more control over plotDensities. Specifically, setting the xlim with x_range is problematic for spectral flow data due to the presence of outliers (even after PeacoQC). Any chance you could add an argument to optionally set xlim manually? Alternatively, setting the xlim values to a density value (e.g., 0.01) would be better. This is possible with geom_density_ridges, for instance.
