Improve the translate_walk_t mechanism to handle the stolen register

Improve the translate_walk_t mechanism so that it can handle the stolen register and other aspects of non-x86 mangling.

#7692 adds emulate_epilogue for AArch64 but improving the translate_walk_t mechanism is likely to be a better solution.
