[Request] RPM packages for Fedora, CentOS and other RedHat-based distros.

Hi!
I’d like to request official RPM packages for Floorp, or perhaps an official repository for Fedora, centOS, and other RPM-based distros.

Currently, anyone who wants to run Floorp natively (without Flatpak) has to rely on unofficial COPR builds or unpack the tar.gz release manually. Both options work, but they’re not ideal and have plenty issues:

• COPR repos aren’t always up-to-date and may break occasionally (the last COPR repo's builds are currently failing.)
• tar.gz builds don’t integrate well with the system and there’s no dependency handling
• manual integration (icons, desktop files, etc.) is very inconvenient
• Flatpak builds don’t work well with some password managers, and the audio settings don’t persist between audio streams.

Having official RPM packages would make the experience much smoother: proper system integration, updates through the package manager, and a more reliable setup overall. I’m sure many Fedora/centOS/RHEL users would appreciate it.

Thanks for the suggestion! It would be great if it could be used in more environments.

IIRC, the packages officially maintained by Floorp are generally limited to those used within the team.
Other packages, even if officially recognized, are maintained by contributors (e.g., Flatpak). I recall this is done to conserve resources.

Really agree with you! Native rpm&deb package is really necessary if we want some features (e.g. to connect with some password manager like KeePassXC)!

Same here from me the one thing that keeps my back from considering to use floorp right now is the fact i doesn't have a native rpm package.
