Locking saving a score behind ads is a bit pervasive. Locking skipping cutscenes behind ads is kinda stupid and counter-intuitive because most of the cutscenes are about as long as an ad, and the ones that are longer are still not long enough for me to consider watching an ad to skip them. In general, locking basic QOL features behind ads is a no go. Not allowing the change of certain options sounds a bit weird to me. The only suggestion I can get behind here is to lock bonus levels behind ads. It’s really the only thing in here that logically makes sense and wouldn’t make me want to uninstall the game lol. |

Imo ads in free games are just a way to make a quick buck which I don't see as the route the funkin crew would take - especially since (according to cam) the full-ass game will be paid on steam and remain open-source |

I don't think the Funkin Crew want to be as horrendous with the quantity of ads like other mobile games, maybe just ads when entering the story or freeplay menu that's about all |

A discussion for any monetization ideas for the the free mobile version of FNF.
Here's a few to start off this dicussion:
If you want to view your score after a song, you have to watch an ad and/or if you want to save it, you watch one.
It'd be a way better way of showing / doing ads in the free version, compared to simply just having a bar with them shown somewhere.
(Though I guess maybe one could be added to the pause screen and/or the main menus too, just to remind the user that yes, this is the free version. Definitely do not add one to the playstate, that'd just be too mean.)
Maybe only loss scores above a certain clear percentage (because some people intentionally try to get a low one) is saved without needing to watch an ad, acting as a incentive of sorts to for the player to get a better score and change it.
The ability to view the results of a song later, through/in the results screen could require an ad watch too?
Alternatively, watch an ad to play a few alternative mixes, or certain songs in freeplay for a time, because the above stuff is probably way too pervasive.
Also, unrelated to the ad stuff above, perhaps certain options on the free version aren't available at all, like for example, you can't do QoL things like skipping cutscenes, as a little further incentive for getting the non-free version.
