To reproduce the problem:

  1. create directory like
    C:\Users\xieha\Downloads\tmp\1234567890\1234567890\1234567890\1234567890\1234567890\1234567890\1234567890\1234567890\1234567890
  2. open wt
  3. cd to that directory
  4. Split window vertically (new panel on the right side),
  5. in the left panel keep typing like 200~250 char, followed by a space and a colon, it crashed like above.

I noticed that after I split the window, the panel at the left side put cursor at wrong location (offset one problem?), it should be at the end of the prompt line, but it was actually at the beginning of the next line. This did not happen again once I got the error report, to reproduce the problem, close current wt and start over from step #2 again.

Note sure what else can help, just let me know.

This issue was already fixed (see #1306). Please upgrade to the 2.1.0 version of PSReadLine from PowerShell Gallery.
See the upgrading section for instructions. Please let us know if you run into the same issue with the latest version.
