The problem of GraphQL is that it can't solve performance problems in complex queries, so when a client needs to query many nested fields at once, normally the front-end developer is not clear that he is accessing too much data from different data sources on the server side. it requires a mechanism (such as deepest query depth, query complexity weights, avoiding recursion, persistent queries) to stop expensive (performance) queries from the client.
