• patches aren't suited to add new features that bring lot of changes.
• making a soft-fork will make you dependent of MS

I downloaded Theia and I like it, but the way the defaults are set up feels like VS Codium was only 75% finished. There are things that aren’t set up intuitively or aren’t working as they should. Is it supposed to be like that?

Also, how do you customise it to your liking? I can’t find videos that explain that—there are only videos about AI integrations and how they aim to compete with VS Code and Codium.
