20 September 2025: Next steps: Domain transfer and Netlify

Where we are

We have made excellent progress in the past few days.
@da5nsy organized another checkin where a few of us chatted about priorities for the project moving forward. 🙌🏻 These include getting the docs back fully online with the domain and dns etc. Looking at the architecture across the other repos and focusing on dependency and security updates first for the bot and the cli.

• The current website is live here: all-contributors.github.io
  *There are 3 open pr's that.
  • fix remaining links on the website and images, Docs: Fix images and links in the last sections of the docs #931
  • sync the docs-upgrade feature branch with main resolving merge conflicts across files chore: add merge commit to handle merge conflicts when we merge into main #929
  • pr that merged docs-upgrade into main (we will merge this last but also the pr above may or may not make this pr empty :) ). [WIP] Docs: merge the feature branch into main  #928

We also got approved for a FREE open source netlify account to deploy our documentat. this means i'll close the issues related to circle ci as we will have previews through netlify.

And @flpm is making great progress on building the translations!! And is working on what our policy should be to make translations live! #917

Once we merge those three pr's our milestone to get the docs live on the main branch will be complete !!

Next Steps

• @JimMadge @Berkmann18 @flpm and myself are all owners on the new netlify team! 🚀 Jim will set things up there to support our new deployment! We can also add anyone else on the maintainer team who'd like to be there!
• I will reach out to Jake about transferring the domain to NameCheap and Jim is open to setting things up there. I can help guide the transfer @JimMadge as i've done it before. It straightforward and well documented

Where we need help

At this point I think we should consider a few things

1. It would be helpful if someone or a few people here could triageopen issues. We have over 100 and some are older in this repo.
2. We should start to look at the other repositories (the bot and the cli), evaluate the status of each, and consider dependency updates as away to get to know those repos.
