Alternatives to dangerouslySetInnerHTML

I love sanitizeHtml. I like how it keeps user-submitted code safe. And I do wonder how to prevent a less than symbol stay a less than symbol (that isn't part of an HTML tag) with the sanitizer, it is nice.

I also have another issue. In certain very rare circumstances I want any passed < to not automatically become a less than symbol in my html with dangerouslySetInnerHTML. What exactly should I be looking for? The whole purpose of that particular element is to act like an console element.

For an operation like that, cheerio might be your best option. You could spot that element with cheerio and replace its contexts with text easily.
