This tutorial is using django-rest-framework-jwt which seems to be abandoned.

The Django REST Framework website have been updated its documentation following this issue: encode/django-rest-framework#6138 and recommend using django-rest-framework-simplejwt

It's not clear what "blocker" means exactly when it comes to docs, but this issue is still an...an issue.

I can't recall for sure, but I think I might have reached out to auth0 directly about this within the past couple of months. Unsurprisingly I've had other things on my mind in this hell of a 2020.
