Thoughts on WIP Limits?

I appreciate the philosophy behind the tool. So many Kanban / Issue Tracker tools have become bloated and moved away from the original simplicity of Kanban.

On the other hand, it seems that "Limiting Work in Progress" is one of the defining features of Kanban, and it's currently missing from Fizzy. Are there plans to add that? Either as soft limits (show warning) or hard limits?

Hey @cadolphs! No plans for WIP limits. They're not something we use ourselves. We tend to let people make those kind of decisions as there's always more nuance involved than a tool can capture. Card Table, the Kanban-like tool in Basecamp, doesn't have them either.

You're welcome to pitch an implementation or fork the project to add them for your own use, of course!

At this point I was more interested in the philosophy behind the decision. Fully agree on the nuance part, and you don't want to be fighting with a tool. I mean, a whiteboard with sticky notes doesn't magically enforce a WIP limit either.
