OK, so after a lot of digging, it seems that this whole ordeal is due to Facebook-s retirement of rtmp-streamingneither. They've switched to rtmps, which MediaMTX, nginx or ffmpeg doesn't natevely doesn't support. Here's a workaround: https://josuesworld.wordpress.com/2019/04/05/how-to-use-rtmp-and-rtmps-with-nginx-on-windows/ |

Question
I've set up an RTMP/RTSP streaming-service with MediaMTX on my desktop.
From OBS Studio, I'm then streaming to:
This leaves me with 2 streams:
MediaMTX is then set up to re-distribute the stream to YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook simultaneously, using
ffmpeg.Streaming to YouTube and Twitch is no problem. But whenever I'm trying to stream to Facebook, I always get timeout errors.
The command
This part of the code, is what fails:
Let's try streaming to Facebook only:
Instant timeout only occurs when using
flvformat. When using another format likempegts, I can stream for up to a minute, and then timeout occurs. The stream never hits Facebook, though.I want to mention that I've tried streaming exclusively to Facebook from within OBS Studio, and this works fine. So, I'm certain that I'm doing something wrong when using
ffmpeg. Can someone help me crack this nut?
