Example of HLS that can be embeded in a webpage

I have succesfully launched a RTSP with the following in the paths part of the config

paths:
  cam:
    runOnInit: ffmpeg -f v4l2 -i /dev/video0 -f rtsp rtsp://localhost:$RTSP_PORT/$RTSP_PATH
    runOnInitRestart: yes

Then in my VLC I use
Open Network -> rtsp://localhost:8554/cam
to view it.

I am curious if you can post a configuration to make that so I can view the HLS output so I can embed that in a website?

Same configuration and version 0.16.x, you can access http://localhost:8888/cam in the browser directly (if the browser has HLS support) or embedded in a HLS player.
At least in theory, because for me it doesn't work smoothly.

This is not working for me, maybe I am still doing something wrong?

I tried it in Chrome Version 91.0.4472.77 (Official Build) (x86_64) and it gave me

No webpage was found for the web address: http://localhost:8888/cam/
HTTP ERROR 404

So then I also tried it in Safari Version 14.0.2 (16610.3.7.1.9)
and it only showed me a blank page.

Do I have to serve the page with nginx (or other webserver)?
Should http://localhost:8888/cam/ just work?
Do I have to change the rtsp-simple-server.yml at all from what I posted above?

I am using rtsp-simple-server version 0.16.2 by the way.

There is nothing else necessary, the page should at least open the video player. I don't know what's wrong.
