.js vs. .jsx

Hello, some time ago (if I remember correctly), there were some Emmet(?) features, like auto closing tags, available for .jsx files. For this reason, I changed all the React files in my React projects to the .jsx suffix (from .js). Now those features don't seem to work anymore, any way to get them back? And are there any differences between .js and .jsx files left?
