"Continue tried to edit" forever stuck loop

Hi,
i got this error where continue cannot modify my files. i reinstalled it, same. happens with deepseek and gemini so it's not a model problem. I don't know what to do or where does this come from

Same error for me:

read_file failed because the arguments were invalid, with the following message:
Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'trim')
Please try something else or request further instructions.

Getting the same issue, with the error:
Could not resolve filepath to apply changes
Everything is in the workspace root so it should have no issues with relative paths.

After more experimenting, seems this is more a model issue. Pick a model that's better at tool use and it starts working. Like R1 or Codestral 2508 (cheap), or something more $$.
