It looks like maybe the 0.3.0 version of the initialize package just didn't publish right, I can repro this just by adding that dependency alone |

I don't think there are plans for another 1.8 release, but 1.9 should come out pretty soon. |

I started getting a stack trace from pub get/upgrade today, visible here https://gist.github.com/jakemac53/75c1e4740c359e766070.
This can be replicated by checking out this branch of the repo https://github.com/dart-lang/web-components/tree/htmlimport, running pub get (should work), then removing the dependency override and trying to run pub get again.
