I started getting a stack trace from pub get/upgrade today, visible here https://gist.github.com/jakemac53/75c1e4740c359e766070.

This can be replicated by checking out this branch of the repo https://github.com/dart-lang/web-components/tree/htmlimport, running pub get (should work), then removing the dependency override and trying to run pub get again.

Removed Priority-Unassigned label.
Added Priority-Medium, Area-Pub, Triaged labels.

It looks like maybe the 0.3.0 version of the initialize package just didn't publish right, I can repro this just by adding that dependency alone

I'm experiencing this in 1.8.5 from debian repo. If there a know workaround or will there be a maintenance release soon ?

I think deleting the .pub directory in you project directory should fix it.

I have no .pub directory but I did remove ~/.pub-cache to see if it helped but it didn't.
Also tried purging 1.8.5-1 and installing 1.8.3-1 but the problem persists.

I don't think there are plans for another 1.8 release, but 1.9 should come out pretty soon.
