I have this idea that I’d like to log when my car is charging and how many kWh it’s charged with, so I can link this data with electricity prices and keep track of how much money I’m spending on charging my electric car.
My thought is to use MQTT to receive a message for when a charging session starts and ends. Somehow, I’ll then need to figure out how much energy was charged.
I have a working MQTT connection to my go‑eCharger and can see that I’m receiving messages on 120 topics; if I expand it to also send to Home Assistant, I get an additional 49 topics.
It seems fairly manageable — can anyone point me in the right direction to find the data I need?
