Issues with the Logic Analyzer

For some time now I try to use the PICO based Logic Analyzer, but I find the software very frustrating.

• There is no way to store the device configuration. So each time you start op the Logic Analyzer with a multi-device, you have to specify the master and all the slaves.
• The capture mapping is stored in a single file. So if you want to capture another device, you have to throw away the previous configuration.
• The 6.5 Beta has an option to create profiles. But I haven't got that working yet.
  Any time you want to validate/use an incomplete capture configuration, you get an error message and you can start all over again. What also doesn't help is that most fields have illegal initial values (6.0.0.1 was better ITR).
• There is no way to store the decoder configuration. So each time you start up the Logic Analyzer, you have to specify the mapping of each pin to a channel.
• There are no errors reported from the decoders. This doesn't help debugging them. Standard out comes through when the LA is started from the command line, but not the python errors.

The Logic Analyzer is a cool and promising device, but very frustrating to use. Maybe the next version? What I try to do is creating decoders for more retro processors, but for now I give up on this device. I still have an OLS which works with sigrok/pulseview.
