I looked here and did a google search but I don't see any tutorials or overview on how to get started, any suggestions?

There aren't any introductory materials right now. And right now, the situation is somewhat confused. The mainline code is all but abandoned, for the most part, while I'm working on a series of experiments to figure out the best approach going forward.

If you really want to get into Fornjot right now, the best place to start would be the example models, combined with looking at the API documentation (run cargo doc --open locally). But right now is probably not the best time; everything's going to change once I conclude those experiments, though I don't know how yet 😄

I don't know. This whole project has been so difficult and thoroughly unpredictable, I wouldn't even know how to begin figuring that out.

Would it help you if we talked about it? If so I'd suggest starting a new discussion, I'd be interested in listening and expressing my opinion and I suspect others would join in.

I doubt that discussion will help answer the specific question about the timeline though. I don't think this is a problem that can just be worked out. There are known unknowns (and certainly many unknown unknowns as well), and I don't think there's much to be done except do the work.

I would like to apologize, when I said "Would it help you if we talked about it?". It was purely referring to the various "issues" not the timeframe!

I'll dig into your experiments and posts, to get a better understanding.
