Edict2 headword alternatives

Currently, the Edict2 reader adds a summarized version of each definition as an alternate lookup phrase to each entry. For example, the entry 北京 (Běijīng) has the definition "Beijing municipality, capital of the People's Republic of China (abbr. to 京[Jing1])" and an alternate headword "Beijing municipality capital People's Republic China". However, this doesn't seem like an appropriate use of the alternative terms.

First of all, since the aim is to produce a Chinese-English dictionary, it is unlikely that anyone would be looking up the English definition. Also, the summaries produced can be quite long; it certainly seems unlikely that anyone would try to look up "Beijing municipality capital People's Republic China". I think it makes sense to remove these summaries altogether, or at least make them optional (disabled by default?). Do you have any thoughts?

I'm currently working on trying to add genuine alternatives to each entry. For example, adding 辭典 as an alternate to 詞典. This seems more in line with the intended use of the functionality.

I agree.
You can enable it in test's options that fail.
