In the Windows AppSDK 1.7 roadmap there are appwindow set window size properties, but I did not find the corresponding api, when to enter Windows AppSDK 1.7?

Well, I too want the window xaml properties ,but they're not a top priority for the team sadly, we'll get them but probably in 1.7 exp-3 or exp-4

ofc implementing them isn't as easy as we think, since we think since wasdk use it own compositor instead of Windows' compositor, but the team promised to add these xaml properties in 1.7 and hopefully they won't delay it to 1.8

They haven't added anything new, they've really made fun of us.

Even the Phisilica and other APIs that were said to be released in EXP 2 were not released. There is nothing related to WinUI 3 in this version. Only wasdk apis.
Things that were already in v1.7-EXP1 or 1.6-EXP are, nothing new!

Where is the new AI related APIs in https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/ai/apis? Shouldn't they ship in 1.7-exp2?

In call on the 22 jan are supposed to show off the copilot api, but it is unclear whether they will use v1.7-exp2 or if a new version is going to be released by then, or whether it will have a separate nuget package.

Maybe it might be released as a standalone package or part of preview 1, otherwise it wouldn't be possible to explain this, after all, there's a demo to be done afterward, and according to last year's reference they'll be releasing the preview 1 version very soon.

Simply updating to 17-ex2 broke my working 17-ex1 app. And worse of all, simply reverting back to 17-ex1 (and Cleaning) didn't fix it.
I managed to fix it using a local backup， but I've tried it twice with the same result.
After the App.xaml.cs InitializeCompont method I get...

Exception thrown: 'System.InvalidCastException' in System.Private.CoreLib.dll

@AlexanderBlackman very sorry for your experience. It's likely that the .NET exceptions are propagating from native WinRT class activation or QueryInterface failures, which in turn may be due to stale manifests. If you're building with WindowsAppSdkSelfContained, can you look for a Manifests subfolder in your release directory, delete it, and rebuild? If that doesn't help, please open a new issue with a repro.

I've found the issue in my unpackaged app.
One of my unused windows used a CompostionBrushBackdrop from the WinUIEx library. I guess 17-ex2's changes to composition broke it. I've changed it and now my app works.
Still doesn't explain the persistence of the issue after reversion, but I'll report the issue to the library writer.
