There is a workflow for running the release version of PR gates but it is not required for checkin because it takes too long and only rarely are there changes where behavior between release and debug is different. Currently this workflow must be queued manually, but it would be nice if this could be queued from a PR by a maintainer either by a bot comment or some other mechanism.
