I've started to use Pixi ( https://pixi.sh/ ) and it's working great with VSCode since addition in #22968

Could you please configure VSCode to ignore .pixi folders by default?

Currently I get warnings (see screenshots) and presumably scanning that folder with 1000s of files slows down VSCode and I have to remember to exclude it for any new project I work on where pixi is used.

Would be great if that would be taken care of automatically. :-)

@cdeil This should be a feature request on pixi. When .pixi folder is created they can add .gitignore with a "*" for content in it. We do this for .venv created using this extension.

Because we have not heard back with the information we requested, we are closing this issue for now. If you are able to provide the info later on, then we will be happy to re-open this issue to pick up where we left off.

Happy Coding!
