Thanks for your quick response. I went to the page you linked and I am clicking on the "Latest" button. Is that the correct way to download? I also tried clicking on Miniflux/V2 at the top left of the screen but that only takes me to a different page. This "Latest" should redirect you to https://github.com/miniflux/v2/releases/tag/2.2.7 I guess, then you scroll down and you find the list of assets, that's how for most GitHub projects you download releases.

Then pick the one matching your target environment.

ok, from the assets list I found the windows-amd64 package that I thought was the one I need. Though it downloaded and appeared to run, no joy. I'm afraid I am out of my league on this. Thanks for sticking with me to this point. I was present at the creation in the 1970's doing my own assembly language programming on a Z80 uP, but the technology has zoomed far ahead of me.   I have found a newsreader, Raven, that looks like it will work as a replacement for netvibes.
