Proposals and Voting system Shared by multiple groups together

I Would like to suggest an idea about proposals module... It it possible to create different groups with different user roles, and organize voting system with multiple groups together. Ex: I create 3 groups, one for admins, one for an other group, and one for a group with his proposal or an idea. The propose is for allow each group to be agree between them and share the idea between created groups and voting with different roles (ex roles allowed for join the group, or roles for vote or not in the group, for organize group income better for a real dao or governance). It will be very hepful for help organizations to use groupe income... What do you think about ?

Hi @allianse, it's not very clear to me what you're asking but I'll do my best to try to answer: proposals in groups can only be voted on by those who are in the group.

The idea is to share the group income between different groups too. One group may be specialists in something in particular, and another group expert in something else with other skills... So the software can add a useful way for allow group working together.

Hi Greg, consider simply members of different groups can interact together around the same proposals and not be isolated by groups only.

At the beginning: a user can create multiple groups (optionnal), and groups choose to share their proposals for vote in the different groups together.
Results are shared depending of rules previously choosen (ex same proposal of 2 groups on 3 (total) must be ok, and proposal is considered as validated)
Same for group income, the 3 group share the income together

So in this case, the proposal appears in the 3 groups and groupe income is shared between 3 different groups.

OK, I'm still not quite fully understanding the use-case here, however, the idea of connecting groups together and having one group support another group is a potential feature we would like to implement in the future. It would work whenever one group has a surplus and has another group plugged into it.

Regarding cross-group proposals - this I'm still struggling to understand how it works in terms of both the user interface and logically from a voting standpoint, and what sorts of situations it would be used in.

For example, if a cross-group proposal exists, is it counting votes like this: (votes yes from A, B, C) / (votes group A + group B + group C) or like this: ((Result From A, 1 or 0) + (Result from B, 1 or 0) + (Result from C, 1 or 0)) / 3?

And what would the UI look like?

No, not on surplus... One Group can have 30 members, other one 100, and other 50...
A user, instead of create only one group, can decide to create 3 groups for share the proposals.

The counting must be : ((Result From A, 1 or 0) + (Result from B, 1 or 0) + (Result from C, 1 or 0)),

The user who have created the 3 groups with these features decide the rules, it's wise to have 2 groups of 3 who say "yes", then, the proposal is considered as approved for the 3 groups, who work separately on the same proposals inside each group.

This concept is really important because it allows, for example, a group of experts to collaborate on a proposal put forward by another group, and vice versa.
