firefox spawns textarea

When i try to paste something, or cut or delete (via right-click), sometimes a text area pops up. Anyone with an idea where i went wrong. I suppose its a config issue.

Sounds like you're using a custom style that applies to the Stylus editor and it incorrectly reveals the textarea. Disable the applied style(s) until the problem is gone, then report the problem to the author. You can also write your own style for the editor that re-hides the textarea.

I see global-dark-global sets a border, which seems to be the cause of the problem. You can write your own style for the editor with something like .CodeMirror textarea[style*="width: 30px"] { border: none !important }

wdym by custom style. The editor looks like this because i made it look like that. Regardless, disabling all styles doesn't change anything.

Maybe to clarify, this isn't a cosmetic issue. When i try to cut or delete something via right-click, nothing happens.

A custom style means a style that customizes the page (the editor). Since I don't observe this problem and no one have ever reported it since we've last updated the CodeMirror editor a long time ago, I still have to investigate the possibility this is a cosmetic issue. Try disabling all styles that you currently have applied to the editor and see if it helps. In case it doesn't, I guess the issue may be caused by your modifications in about:config or in Firefox options.
