How much would extra help be appreciated for pushing through the CLI release? I got a bit distracted with translations for the website but I want to stick to that because I feel we are quite close to achieving that. |

Hi everyone 👋🏻 I came here to update everyone on where we are with the project!!
Welcome, Justin, to the maintenance team
I wanted to take a minute to welcome @jdalrymple to our lovely all contributors project!! Justin has been helping out a LOT on the project and is now part of the maintainer team. We are lucky to have you here Justin!! Take a minute to say hello to Justin in the comments below if you have time!!
Updates on the CLI
The CLI work is moving forward, and we have access to NPM thanks to the original maintainers, who we emailed and were very kind about sharing access. 🎉
The CLI had so many outdated dependencies that we spent a lot of time updating them and the code/tests accordingly. I think our next big chunk of work will be migrating from the older CommonJS node syntax to ESM. That shouldn't be a heavy lift; it's just a lot of files being touched.
And then we can still fill in test gaps as needed.
I created a milestone for the release of the CLI 27.0 and setup release please to support automating part of our release workflows. And would love help if anyone is great at triaging issues and moving things to the board that needs to be done before we can create our first release (in 3 years!!! phew!!).
We are very close to a new release, and when we cut it, hopefully, folks here can help us test to ensure we didn't break anything!! 🫶
We are still at a bit of a standstill with the app/bot as we don't have deployment access or the ability to test things, but there is so much to do on the CLI that it's ok for now and perhaps in the future we can recruit some other maintianers who are excited about apps and bots to help us decode that part of the puzzle!! ✨
thank you all for being here. and please don't forget to welcome Justin to our awesome team!!!
