I want to ask about education activation #168407

You already activated GitHub Student Pack before. GitHub only allows one active education benefit per user per lifetime. If your account already received the pack once (even if it expired), you can’t apply again using the same account. You didn’t click “Share Location.” Sometimes the “Share Location” button must be clicked before “Continue” becomes active. It's required for eligibility verification. Try clicking it first. Your session needs refreshing. If you’ve verified your email just now, try refreshing the page, logging out and logging back in, or switching browsers. You selected but didn’t confirm your role. Make sure “Student” is selected and confirmed. From the screenshot, it looks selected — so that’s not the issue here. 🔁 What you can try: 🔄 Refresh the page or re-verify your email again if prompted. 💡 Try applying with a new GitHub account if you've used this one before for the Education Pack. 💬 If nothing works, reply directly on the GitHub Education support contact page. |

A disabled "continue" button on the GitHub Education application page often indicates an incomplete or unverified step. The most common cause is a problem with location services; you need to allow GitHub to access your location to prove you are applying from a valid academic institution's region. Other potential issues include an unverified school email address, an incomplete form, or a browser problem like a VPN or ad blocker interfering with the page. Since your previous benefits have expired, you will need to re-verify your student status with current documentation. |
