I think you should assume the automated system is blocking your application because one of your documents is not meeting its strict verification criteria, most likely the absence of a school-issued email. You should provide a more formal proof of enrollment, since an informal phone photo often fails automated checks even when the information is correct. You should also contact GitHub Education support and explain that your institution does not provide an official email; they can review your case manually, which is usually the only reliable way to resolve repeated rejections. I’m mildly annoyed that their system makes you jump through these hoops, but this approach gives you the best chance of getting approved. |

Hi @Pookie4321, Make sure to fill in your billing info and GitHub profile with your full name exactly as it appears on your academic transcript. Then log out and log back into GitHub before reapplying, because the application system gets stuck in a loop even after the required information has been updated. If you still get rejected, submit the application using another device, such as a smartphone or another PC. If none of the above works, I recommend you contact support by opening a ticket here, select " |

I would suggest that with handwritten forms of ID/evidence that you may need to rewrite important details on a separate piece of paper/screen and take a photo of the two side by side. Sure thing! We suggest you include important information concerning your enrolment e.g. full name (make sure it matches your GitHub billing info), School (make sure that matches the school you select in the verification process), date of enrolment (usually the time period that you attend), course your attending (if you have one, but important if learning remotely). Things of that nature. You can include you DOB but that is optional. Let us know how you get on 👍 |

The image you selected does not appear to contain your school name. Your complete school name must appear in your document, not only the school logo. You may include multiple documents together. If your official document is not in English then you may photograph the original next to an English translation. Please ensure that your academic affiliation document contains your first name exactly as it appears in your GitHub billing information. Variations of your name and nicknames are unacceptable. |
