Congratulations on passing the AZ-204! For others wondering about its difficulty, it is generally considered one of the more challenging associate-level certifications from Microsoft because it requires a solid understanding of both Azure services and actual development (C# or Python). Your advice on practicing with real questions and following the official study guide is spot on. For those starting out, focusing on Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, and App Service is crucial as they form a big part of the exam. |

I'll be honest with you.
Two weeks before my exam, I scored 61% on a practice test. I was panicking. The $165 was already paid, and I was nowhere near ready.
So yes, AZ-204 is hard. But not impossible.
Here's what makes it challenging: it's not just about knowing Azure—it's about choosing the right service for specific scenarios under time pressure. You'll face questions like "Event Grid vs Event Hub vs Service Bus—which one?" with answers that look almost identical.
The toughest parts that nearly broke me:
• Azure Functions triggers and bindings (15+ types, exact syntax required)
• Event Grid vs Event Hub vs Azure Service Bus (choosing the right messaging solution)
• Azure Cosmos DB consistency levels (Strong, Session, Eventual—which one when?)
• Exact syntax questions (PowerShell, CLI commands—one wrong character = wrong answer)
Understanding when to use Event Grid vs Event Hub was confusing. Then throw Azure Service Bus into the mix—especially Azure Enterprise Service Bus for complex workflows—and I was completely lost. Same with Azure Cosmos DB: five consistency levels, and the exam expected me to know exactly which one fits each scenario."
What turned it around for me?
I stopped reading and started doing. Built hands-on labs. Created comparison tables. But honestly, what saved my certification was Pass4Success's practice questions.
Their scenario-based questions mirrored the real exam perfectly. Detailed explanations showed me why answers were correct—not just what was correct. Within two weeks, my scores jumped from 61% to 89%.
I walked out with 812/1000. First attempt.
Bottom line: AZ-204 is hard, but with hands-on practice and quality preparation materials, you'll pass. Don't waste your time on those platform that provide outdated dumps with wrong answers. Invest in resources that actually work.
