I'm a junior high school student. I don't have a school email (.edu). How can I apply for education status? #192225

You don't need a .edu email to get GitHub Education benefits. Plenty of students (especially outside the US) don't have one, and GitHub accounts for that. Go to education.github.com and click "Join Global Campus" (or "Get student benefits"). During the application you can upload proof of enrollment instead of verifying through a school email. Your student card and transcript should work fine for this. A few tips to make the approval go smoothly:
The review usually takes a few days. If it gets rejected the first time, you can reapply with better documentation. The most common rejection reason is blurry or cropped photos where the school name or date isn't clearly visible. If your school happens to have any email domain at all (doesn't need to be .edu), try adding that to your GitHub account too, it can speed things up. |

Hi everyone,
I am a junior high school student, so the school has not assigned me an educational mailbox, but I can provide my student card and recent transcript photos to prove my student status. How can I apply?
