Perhaps the current requirements for the program have changed, but as far as I remember, only a valid university email is needed. In my case, I linked my university email to my GitHub account and the process was immediate. GitHub didn't ask me to verify my location. Have you tried linking your university email to your account to see if that helps? |

You should probably explain in your application/support request that you are enrolled as a remote/distance-learning student, which is why your GPS location is far from campus. Many universities now have online or hybrid students, so being away from campus does not necessarily mean you are not a valid student. Try submitting:

I'm struggling to apply for student program as I'm a remote student of my College.
When I try to apply it ask for location and when I enable gps it do not allow me saying "why away from campus"
