Usually the GitHub Student Developer Pack review can take anywhere from a few hours to several days depending on verification volume, so one day is still very normal.

how many days is the sweet spot and when should i get worried?

usually a few days is normal, especially if there’s high verification volume. I’d probably only start worrying after around 1–2 weeks without an update. If it takes that long, you can contact support or recheck that your student documents/details were accepted properly.
