I can't use copilot pro even though it says it was verified 2 weeks ago.

It's unacceptable that I am just frozen and unable to use even the free version.

your screenshot actually explains whats happening ,,,the education dashboard shows this line :
"New Copilot plan sign-ups are temporarily paused as we ensure a high-quality experience"
so this isnt a bug with your account specifically ,,,github paused new copilot student plan signups in early 2025.your verification is 100% valid and your student pack benefits are active ,its just thatt the copilot pro activation through education is on hold for new signups right now.

what you can do:

• check github.com/settings/copilot ,,,Copilot Free should already be available to you without any signup. it includes 2000 code completions /month and 50 chat messages .
• if you were previously on copilot pro through education before ,,,go back to the education dashboard and try the "start an application" button ,existing users sometimes get reactivated even during the pause ,
• if neither works ,email education@github.com with your username and a screeenshot of your verified status ,,,they can sometimes manually trigger the copilot pro benefit for verified students .

youre not frozen,,,,,copilot free should work for you right now. the pro activation is just caught in the signup pause,,,,,
