From a user pov, the choice mostly depends on whether you are more of a GUI person or a terminal person. Use Copilot Chat in VS Code if you like working inside the IDE and getting answers in the chat panel. Use Copilot CLI if you prefer staying in the terminal and getting answers directly there. So IME the main difference is not only what they can answer, but where you interact with them. |

Copilot CLI
Body
Hi guys, I am new to the AI topic. I would like to develop my first project with AI tools and I do not understand the difference between Copilot CLI that comes on the VSC chat and the one installed directly from the terminal. Anyone that could explain it to me?
pro and cons of each?
Then, what is the difference if I work in the "open on Agents" window compared to the chat on the side and the terminal?
