PDK Dev Call Updates – January 27th, 2026

Armin

• Reviewed incoming PRs. Async persistence and related PRs that spun off that.
• Flagged Demonstrate failure handling with fallback TX broadcast #1164 for additional discussion and direction-setting; requires a clear design decision.
• Onboarded into simulation and multiparty research work.
• Reviewed drafted the v0 multiparty overview document -- plans to add few sections.
• Last week: demoed the transaction indexer (working name) to Spiral and during mob programming.
• This week: working through the data pipeline design, focusing on defining dependency structure of the data transformation

Dan

• Submitted an OpenSats grant application; HRF also encouraged submission.

• Prepared for the upcoming board meeting.

• Catching up on project writing and documentation.

• Built a website section for the integration roadmap.

  • Each integration is scored on feasibility, maintenance burden, and other metrics.

• Wants to apply the same scoring framework to the core project roadmap.

• Bull Bitcoin reached out to push for 1.0 completion; strong external demand.

• Emphasized that technical progress should be matched by recruiting efforts (50/50 split).

• Highlighted that hosting a directory is a significant operational burden and risk as that impacts our funding.

Ben

• Merged automated Nix updates.

  • Currently managed via Spacebear’s account; should transition to a Payjoin-owned bot account.

• Met with the Liana team:

  • UI/UX decisions are now being finalized and tracked in the integration issue.
  • New concern: counterparty double-spend risk when the finalized transaction is in the mempool. We have API support for this via the monitoring typestate but its not clear what the issue exactly is.

• Ben will open an issue describing the mempool double-spend scenario and coordinate discussion with Liana and on rust-payjoin repo.

• Unified directory changes require adding the data directory to .gitignore.

• Created an issue to clean up and standardize .gitignore.

Chavic

• Working on PR Validate FFI primitive inputs + refresh bindings/tests #1263.
• Spacebear will review the changes.
• Dan advised to use Nix shells for Git pre-commit hooks for deterministic results.
