See plotly/plotly.js#6648

Any updates on this from the team? When will this be fixed?

I am also using the choropleth map locally which needs the world_110m.json file, I can download this from the repo as well, but I don't see a way to use this world_110.json in the plotly express documentation.

same issue with using .to_image to save a geoplot. Displaying with .show works fine, but .to_image relies upon CDN being online. I don't understand why that is.

Yep quite frustrating, any work around to avoid this behavior in the future ?
I tried without sucess to replace the url. I tried to use the solution of this post https://stackoverflow.com/questions/75284287/plotly-net-offline-use

+1 - seeing blank plots as a result of 403 on https://cdn.plot.ly/plotly-2.20.0.min.js (and other versions)
