Issue: 100k particles / instanced geometry run 60fps on dev build, 24fps on production builds

Not sure why production builds are running so slowly (I would have expected the opposite),
does anyone have any insight here ?
This link runs at 60 FPS on dev mode, expectedly if we half the number of particles it's fine - but I would rather like to avoid that. Would be great to have performance of production build be on par with dev ones...
