is my PC not strong enough for "osu!"? or is something wrong?

i have osu installed but it seems to lag a whole lot and its unplayable for me kinda.

during song select im getting about 40fps,

during song download screen i can get anywhere from 30 down to like 14-15 when scrolling,

gameplay seems to be around 60-90, hovering around 80 but can dip to 50 sometimes.

i feel like my specs are decent enough, im on a dell optiplex 3050 micro

OS:  Linux x86_64
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700T (4) @ 3.80 GHz
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 630 @ 1.15 GHz [Integrated]
Memory: 7.68 GiB

not much difference if i use vulkan over opengl, i think its the same

is this normal behaviour? can anyone with similar or identical specs confirm? and if so will there be any optimizations in the future that will allow me to play on this machine? thank you 😊

For the current state of lazer I think this fps is expected for your PC.

Further optimization may happen one day, but it's like... "one day".

The main problem is your GPU. HD630 was released many years ago, and even in that era it was one of the weakest GPUs, usually appearing in PCs that were not intended for gaming.

Stable may give your more FPS.

thank you, yeah it runs amazing on my AMD GPU PC, and yeah i have used stable on worse PC's with over 1000 fps, lazer feels a lot better though i think

Playing at 1440p (determined by screenshot resolution) on an old iGPU also doesn't help. Maybe at 1080p, you'll at least get 120fps and maybe more consistent fps in gameplay.
