This is complete nonsense. The radar consumes a lot of power. The PIR sensor does too, but less. |

Nonsense? That's a bit harsh.. Radar is known to trigger through walls and ceiling fan movement while PIR sensors are not sensitive to it. There are quite a few topic about this on the home assistant forums. Also on reliability for room presence, the combination of the two improves reliability a lot. Modern professional sensors use the combination of the two. Yes, ZG-204ZV and ZG-204ZM both require 2xAA batteries. The ZG-204ZM uses less power due to deactivating the radar sensor. |

Hey Victor,
Thanks for adding the ZG-204ZV. These are pretty cool sensors.
Did you have a look at the ZG-204ZM? This is basically the ZG-204ZV but then with an added PIR sensor.
PIR sensors use much less power, are not prone to fan movements and cannot look through walls.
Usually this combination is used so PIR can trigger 'on' presence and the mmwave is used to trigger 'off' presence.
I have a ZG-204ZM and can share some pictures of the internals. It also uses the Telink chip.
