Thanks for adding the ZG-204ZV. These are pretty cool sensors.
Did you have a look at the ZG-204ZM? This is basically the ZG-204ZV but then with an added PIR sensor.

PIR sensors use much less power, are not prone to fan movements and cannot look through walls.
Usually this combination is used so PIR can trigger 'on' presence and the mmwave is used to trigger 'off' presence.

I have a ZG-204ZM and can share some pictures of the internals. It also uses the Telink chip.

This is complete nonsense. The radar consumes a lot of power. The PIR sensor does too, but less.
Both sensors require at least a couple of AA batteries.

Radar is known to trigger through walls and ceiling fan movement while PIR sensors are not sensitive to it. There are quite a few topic about this on the home assistant forums.

Also on reliability for room presence, the combination of the two improves reliability a lot. Modern professional sensors use the combination of the two.

Yes, ZG-204ZV and ZG-204ZM both require 2xAA batteries. The ZG-204ZM uses less power due to deactivating the radar sensor.

The ZG-204ZV managed to reduce the basic current consumption to 48 µA (sleep mode).
However, Zigbee isn't the best solution for battery operation. The final average consumption depends heavily on the T&H sensor polling interval, as well as the quality of the Zigbee network itself.
As a result, in an active scene, we reach 100 µA.
And the installed radar chip, according to the documentation, has a minimum supply voltage of 2.6 V. This further reduces the battery life before replacement.

You are comparing the Chinese trash from Tuya with something else?

The housing design isn't designed for photoresistor operation at all.
If light doesn't directly reach the photoresistor through the hole, the readings indicate complete darkness. But if it does, the readings tend to approach thousands of lux.
For example, the sunrise partially hits the sensor through a small hole in the housing, but doesn't reach any further. While the actual illumination increases, the sensor displays the opposite.

As a result, this model is unsuitable for use.
