Until yesterday I could clone this as a subproject using git:

It seems to be failing today... anyone have any idea why?

Using bitbake

This is a subproject and was being cloned by gitsm
No up to date source found: clone directory not available or not up to date: /home/dave/Documents/Kymati/yocto/yocto_downloads/git2/github.1485827954.workers.dev.pybind.pybind11.git; shallow clone not available: /home/dave/Documents/Kymati/yocto/yocto_downloads/gitsmshallow_github.com.pybind.pybind11.git_bare_4f0727f-1.tar.gz

Shallow clone not available seems an unhelpful error
