# MonkeyCode Sandbox
2+
3+
Isolated demo codebase for MonkeyCode sidecar coding-task execution
4+
(map #15, ticket #21). A small, safe TypeScript utility library with baseline
5+
tests — a realistic but harmless codebase slice for automated coding demos.
6+
7+
## Contents
8+
9+
- `src/` — TypeScript utilities (string helpers, math helpers)
10+
- `tests/` — vitest baseline tests
11+
- No secrets, no credentials, no network access, no build/deploy steps
12+
13+
## Setup
14+
15+
```sh
16+
git clone https://github.com/saurabharch/monkeycode-sandbox.git
17+
cd monkeycode-sandbox
18+
pnpm install # or: npm install
19+
pnpm test # or: npm test
20+
```
21+
22+
Requires Node 18+ and pnpm 8+ (npm works too).
23+
24+
## Branch convention
25+
26+
- Demo tasks work on branches named `demo/task-<n>-<slug>` (e.g. `demo/task-01-add-truncate`)
27+
- The `main` branch is the PR target for the automated-review demo (ticket #26)
28+
- Each demo task: implement against the task description, commit on the demo branch,
29+
open a PR to `main`
30+
31+
## Task area (what agents are expected to touch)
32+
33+
The `src/` utilities are intentionally small with obvious gaps. A good demo task
34+
adds a new exported function with tests (e.g. `truncate`, `clamp`, `slugify`).
35+
36+
## Notes
37+
38+
- This repo is intentionally minimal — do not add real secrets or credentials.
39+
- Used by: ticket #23 (first coding task), ticket #26 (automated PR review demo).
