closing because although it could still happen at some point, at present we have no concrete plans to move this forward.

if anyone else wants to try it, I'd be happy to provide whatever advice I can. see #733 — that ticket arose the last time someone tried it. (they were successful, the build ran fine.)

over in scala/bug, there is a Graal label: https://github.com/scala/bug/issues?q=is%3Aopen+is%3Aissue+label%3Agraal as you can see, it has 0 open issues and 2 closed issues. It seems like "no news is good news" to me. Regardless, further reports in this area are highly welcome.
