Also, you can integrate the ethical ads from CodeFund.io on all the Svelte sites, to increase the revenue of Svelte and make it more sustainable, by paying maintainers this way as well. |
You don't really wanna be on Tidelist :D ! You mean Tidelift (typo in the title) |
Ops! Edited 😄 |
I think this is a nice idea, and it would be good to add github sponsors too. I'm less excited about putting ads on the site, even if they are ethical. However I'll suffix this by saying that Svelte doesn't really need funding right now, what it needs is time, and maintainers, so I think the project would benefit much more from improved docs and tools to help people contribute, understand how the internals work, and get new faces helping address issues and add features, and a lot of this work is underway. We'll come back to funding ideas if the need arises. |
@antony if you want people to help triage issues i could possibly help :) |
I just would like to suggest @Rich-Harris to add Svelte (and all other big and small projects) on Tidelift: https://tidelift.com/about/lifter
In short, it ensure that Svelte maintainers are paid for every company/user that uses Svelte and is subscribed to Tidelift.
The more people using Svelte, the more the maintainers are paid.
