how to customize Tailwind with latest vite React

I'm creating a new project with Vite React and find no way to customize my Tailwind theme. there are no instructions regarding tailwind.config.js. anyone know how to add the config file with latest tailwind?

You shouldn't need a tailwind.config.js anymore. Configuration is done in your CSS file.

i was creating tailwind.config.js and trying to define my custom theme for hours but could'nt find the reason why it was not working, even AI failed to troubleshoot, thanks buddy, you saved my day
