Screen Under Bright Lights - seems to work great! #20

These aren't quite 1:1 with real world (and ignore the rolling shutter/anti-flicker artifact in the first one), but they do illustrate - even with a flashlight straight at the thing, you can still make out the text with little difficulty. |

Yeah, the screen has been a nice addition so far. With a bit more work, we should be able to make it more contextual so that more information can be communicated to teams and volunteers. |

The recession reduces the viewing angle too much. I found I had to look almost straight on to see all the information on the screen. This can be seen in the first photo, as the bottom line is cut off. The same can be said for the sides of the screen as well. I agree with the bright light not washing out the screen. The bright nature of the OLED is definitely appreciated. |

One of the first (easy, no-robot) things I tried out was blinding my screen with a flashlight. Even with a super bring light, and lots of different illumination that I could throw at it around my house, the screen largely remained visible, mostly because of the fact it's already recessed into a cavity acting as a "shroud" of sorts. At one point I was thinking of 3d printing another shroud, but looking now I don't think this is necessary.
Unsolicited feedback, keep the screen, keep the recess, it works great!
